Pardon the subject, but I have to vent here a little bit. WTF is wrong
with these clowns ESPN uses as "color" guys? I'm flipping back and forth
between Braves and Indians-Yankees mainly because of the pitching
matchup, but I find I can hardly stand to watch the Indians game without
being driven to distraction by, I believe, Buck Showalter. Joe Morgan was
a great player, not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but Buck makes him
sound like a genius.
Yes, I can turn the sound off, but I like the crowd noise and I don't
mind hearing the game being called. I think it was Monday night they had
three (3) announcers in the booth. To call a baseball game? It wouldn't
be so offensive if these geeks said something pertinent, or maybe
interesting in some small way, or even got their facts straight.
