The game I attended on Monday of last week had an announced attendance of
about 25k. That's a pretty small crowd considering (A) the weather was
fabulous, (B) it was the first game of a series between the top two teams
in the division, and (C) Jake Peavy was set to become the Padres' all-time
strikeout king with his first K.
I didn't mean to imply that the Padres' crowds were smaller than the
D-Backs, but I was surprised that the crowd was so small. We walked up an
hour before game time and bought really good seats in right field.

This NG has been dead for some time. Even before it died, it never got
much traffic. I think the D-Backs' crowd all hangs out on some damned
infernal web-based forum.
