Just annoyed by smack-talking idiots from out of town who don't know
anything about Phoenix and think they're magically superior. So where
*are* you from, bitter one?

Listen, you don't live here, so you don't really know what you're talking
about. Downtown Phoenix is a colossal mess right now. In 2001, when the
D-Backs made the World Series, traffic in downtown Phoenix was nowhere
near as bad.

Thursday night was a S E L L O U T. If you refuse to believe that,
then you must be one of those people who's too smart to be confused by
such unreliable things as facts.

Again, you don't live here. Statistically, the D-Backs have no business
being in the playoffs, much less the LCS. Local fans didn't start showing
up in large numbers until the final homestand, but there was apparently a
tremendous amount of local skepticism until then. Also keep in mind that
most people in Phoenix are from somewhere else and grew up fans of another
team.
BTW: Have you noticed that the three franchises in Spring Training
markets have all struggled to attract the levels of attendance they
deserve? The Marlins have won two World Series, fercripessakes, and they
still draw Expos-like numbers. The D-Rays have never been anything but
miserable, and their attendance numbers are likewise.
I don't know if it's a factor, but something tells me when fans can watch
Spring Training games for cheap and get better seats and more access to
the players, they get spoiled. And that's *nothing* compared to the AZ
Fall League. Tickets for AZFL are $5 general admission, and you get to
watch guys who someday turn out to be Jeter, Webb or Pujols from the front
row.

Yay for Philly. They also have a lot more people in their TV market, and
a helluvalot more history. They have three generations of people who grew
up Philly fans. The first generation of kids who grew up D-Backs fans
hasn't even happened yet. As I mentioned, most people in Phoenix are from
somewhere else. People from Chicago, Detroit or Minnesota aren't likely
to give up their allegiances to their old teams easily. Their kids will
grow up D-Backs fans, but that takes time.

I think the worst fans in baseball are people who instigate **** for no
good reason. You know, the kind of people who've never once spoken to
fans of another team until the playoffs, when they suddenly poke their
little noses into an NG they've never seen before and then they begin
flinging names and foul language just to see if somebody will take the
bait.
Well, I took the bait, but I'm done with you. If you insist on continuing
your ignorant assertions, I won't bother to correct you. You're wrong as
hell, and you obviously don't live here.
BTW: You never did say where you're from. Care to say?
