Sigh.  Even after all this time, you still don't know what it means.  Even

if a Rosetta Stone were a "clue," which isn't quite right, the Titanic's 
welds were not a "clue" to why the ****p broke apart.  The Titanic's welds 
were the *reason* why the ****p broke apart.

Same error.  Bordick was *why* the Orioles lost (*); he wasn't a "clue" to

why they lost.  

You keep confusing the clue with the reason.  Which is not surprising, 
since you don't have a clue.




(*) Well, one reason, anyway.  Nobody ever said he was the only reason.
