Well, gang, it has taken me a while, but I am now firmly convinced
that the O's will never be good as long as Angelos runs the team. I
had hoped he'd be able to take a mid-90s Steinbrenner role, but he
seems incapable of such things.
Today, Miguel Tejada got traded to the Astros for outfielder Luke
Scott, pitchers Matt Albers, Troy Patton and Dennis Sarfate, and third
baseman Michael Costanzo. Now, considering that two years ago he could
have been traded to the Sox for Manny, or for Roy Oswalt last year,
but these trades were nixed by the owner?? Now, THIS is the best the
O's can do?
I am so tempted to get an Elijah Dukes' Nats jersey in protest.
