Gibbons never had a clue how to improve his hitting, which was as
simple as keeping his eyes on the ball until it and his bat made
contact. He almost always looked up or away just as his bat moved
through the zone.
Of course, his use of banned chemicals finally did him in, and he
appeared overly-muscled, almost Bondslike toward the end.
