First, the original poster is completely correct mathematically.  Man,
we've already been over this with people like Ray O'hara.  9 is 200%
of 3 more than 3.

"is" means "equals"
"of" means "times"
"more than" means "plus"

Therefore:
9 is 200% of 3 more than 3
really means
9 =3D (200% x 3) + 3

200% x 3 =3D 6, so, by substitution:  9 =3D 6 + 3

However, you're also right when you say this:  "The number "9" is
three times as big as the number "3", which makes it 300%."  That's
true.  9 =3D 300% x 3.  Factual statement.

Unfortunately, you completely misunderstand the original poster's
point and claim he's a moron when, in fact, he's got it perfectly
right.
