OT: I live in the greatest country on Earth !!!

This isn't me gloating about not working but getting the Stimilus
Rebate.  Like many others I'm still waiting on that.  What this is is my
expressing joy over living in a place that though I'm poor, is doing
it's best to see that I get to stay alive and live by myself.   Though I
DO realize that their efforts to keep me living at home is more
motivated by it being cheaper than a full time nursing home.  Say what
you will about our health care system, but to me a system that includes
someone coming in 7 days a week to cook my meals (Parkinsons makes
chores like cooking very hard to do.) thus keeping me from getting
sicker, as well as possibly providing a person 24 hours a day for a week
to stay with me after the first part of the brain surgery, is a pretty
damned good system.    And all at little or no cost to me. There's no
good reason anyone should not recieve good medical care based on not
being able to afford it.  Especially for a condition that is not self
caused.  Anyone who thinks differently than that is a heartless bastard.
Now if I could get it to provide good bjs life would be perfect. <G>
