Something to be concerned about?

by "Nathan A. Miller" <nate.miller@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 16, 2008 at 03:12 PM

So far this Spring...

- Lackey and Escobar are out to start the season.

- Santana has looked his horrible self...nothing appears to have changed
from last season he's got an 7.90 ERA this spring after 4 starts....that's

18 hits allowed 12 earned runs in 13.2 innings...not good!

- Looks like ****elds hasn't got it back yet since last year...you can see
that his confidence is down and hasn't come back since he lost it last
year...he can't throw strikes and almost looks like he's trying to place
the
ball. I know he has only had 2 outings but he just doesn't look
himself...For ****elds so far in 2 games, 2 innings of work he's given up 4

hits, 4 runs, 1 home run, 2 walks and no strikeouts which is
bad....especially since it doesn't appear we're going to sign K-Rod to a
long term deal. I think not signing K-Rod will be the biggest mistake
since
letting Glaus go, especially when it appears that ****elds may have lost
it...with the question of will he ever get it back?

I know it is Spring Training and people are working things out but some of

these things are bad even for Spring Training....your thoughts?

Nathan
