If Soriano can't get his act together by next week, Lou should bench him &
go with DeRosa in left & play Cedeno at 2nd. Someone commented today on
the
Chicago Tribune's "From the Cubicle" that Soriano saw 11 pitches today,
which is an at bat for Fukudome. It's getting to the point where he's
becoming an automatic out, which is not what one shells out $100 million
for.
It's apparent that Soriano has bad habits at the plate. If Ronny Cedeno
can
get it together, drawing walks & driving in runs, why can't Soriano?
Cedeno
is clearly benefitting from the Fukudome Effect, taking a lot of walks,
hitting the ball the opposite way, etc., i.e. where's the real Ronny
Cedeno
& what have the Cubs done with him? He's batting .378 right now and I
can't
see how Uncle Lou can justify Soriano's 0-for-4's much longer.
