Haven't seen Hamilton long enough to answer that one. The luxury is the
dollar figure. How about attenpting to throw a runner out at the plate?
How about stealing a base?
I didn't even factor in the money or additional 'tools' (I hate to use
that
poisonous term here). When you throw those things in, it makes it a
business no-brainer doesn't it?

You can't trust the numbers on defense. You can't igonore them, but I
refuse to put as much stock in them as offensive numbers. You can't find
that Wrigley fly ball anywhere on a score sheet (except in Cueto's ERA).
We
could go back and find tons of others like that one. Couple that with
today's liberal, official scoring and it further skews the numbers.
On the overall defense, I see defininte improvement in Votto. His
mechanics
are much better. He still misplays a few, but he's doing much better.
Edwin? Who knows? I like Edwin and cheer for Edwin, but I'm ready to try
something else at 3B. Some days he's Brooks Robinson, some days he's
Brooke
****elds.
Keppinger is playing on a bum leg. But at 80%, he's better than the
alternatives. Phillips gets no respect for his glove. He's solid over
there. Bruce will be okay. I question if he can become a big league
centerfielder.
Catching is just okay with Ross.
