1.) Tribe 95 - 67 - Pitching is as good as last year. CF and DH have =
rebound years.
2.) CWS 85 - 77 - Upgrades to the lineup will help.
3.) Tigers 84 - 78 - The pitching is over rated, old, and injury prone. =
The lineup is somewhat
old, and will break down over a 162 game season. =
Cabrera will overeat and
breakdown after signing the huge contract. Huge =
disappointment.=20
Only the Red Sox plunge will surprise the ESPN =
geniuses more than this.
4.) KC 83 - 79 - Better, and improving.
5.) Twins 78 - 84 - Rebuilding. =20

Tribe's Hafner rebounds, CC's last season in Cleveland is his best.=20
The bullpen and depth in starters at Buffalo makes this
the best pitching staff in the AL. Lots of depth, and a solid team.

CWS improves with help from Orlando Cabrera and Nick Swisher.
Their pitching keeps them from the post season.

Detroit's pitching staff implodes, yet again.
Willis's acquisition proves to be a bust.=20
His fastball in the high 70s is hit hard and often.
Bullpen injuries are never overcome.
Cabrera finds that Detroit has some mighty fine restaurants.
Sheffield and Pudge miss significant time (60+ games).
Leyland is the scapegoat.

KC challenges the Tiger for 3rd place.
Trey Hillman receives Manager of the year votes.

Twins can't afford injuries and have entered a rebuilding period.
