I don't think the Red Sox would play as well. But the Rockies still
would not have a chance against Beckett, layoff or not. In fact a
layoff probably means Beckett gets a complete game shutout like he did
against the Angels (which was after a 7 day layoff). He's a power
pitcher, and they are normally helped by a layoff.

Now what is your excuse against Schilling? One run against somebody's
grandpa who has no fastball any more?

Or how about the fact that the Rockies hit 0.225 vs. the Diamondbacks
which is about how they are doing against the Red Sox?

Why don't you just grow up and realize that the Red Sox are the better
team. Look at the pitching stats for the season. They predict exactly
what is happening on the field.
