most telling stat is that the tigers are 0-23 when they score less than
five
runs in a game. If a "quality start" is 3 or less ER in 7 inning span the
Tigers SP has been the culprit. Bullpen has been doing its job for the
most
part. For the sake of argument lets say that the Tigers won 1/3 of these
games instead of none their record world be 23-18 instead of 16-25. This
would place the tigers in first in the Central division. If they just
would
have gotten some quality SP...
....in all my years following baseball I have never seen a SP staff be
cursed
with such inefficiency. To my knowledge none of the current SP on roster
are
battling injury which leads one to interpret their poor performance is
just
that.
