A few things:
1) The next time one of your players wants a "wife", someone "real"
and not plastic....
some of us would appreciate it if you did not go looking for a wife
a) among the working classes. These women do not care to associate
with
people who did nothing to deserve their wealth. These women have
spent the
past fifteen or twenty years making sacrifices, even giving up
childbearing or
being deprived of the company of children, that certain women
have never had
to make. Some of us working class women do not care to have the
ugliness of
that rubbed in their faces.
b) on the internet. Look, I know you're surrounded by plastic boring
women
and you have this "Harlem Renaissance" college boy fantasy of going
down
to the ghetto to get some "real lady" with real-world street
smarts, but again,
you're turning us into a commodity and taking no responsibility for
that.
I told you baseball, it's a permanent divorce.
You can pick up your lovely "valentine" smallpox blankets in Illinois.
I mean, three years - isn't that enough time for you to demonstrate to the
victims that you are a REAL human being capable of empathy, capable
of reaching out to people. No, you're like every other sheltered person -
you "network". You talk to your rich buddies.
My family has put up with forty or fifty years of being terrorized by your
"friends".
Listen, when I was a skinny young thing, it never occurred to me that I
could
insulate myself from "the ghetto" and improve my social lot just by
socializing
at the "right" places, etc.
See, we something-less-than-white girls don't get those op****tunities.
We don't
go to the right schools or live in the right states.
In a nutshell, I resent having the ugliness of your world put all upon me,
with
not so much as a "sorry".
Hey, you know - I didn't consider suing you or incriminating you. I did
the
responsible thing and assumed you were a human being. You didn't
respond in kind.
You compounded my pain, grief and fear by not being "real".
I'm not from your world and never have been. I don't appreciate having it
forced upon me. And what irony - it was just as I had saved up enough
money to finally seek a professional degree or two. Why should I respect
you when YOUR husband can just BUY that kind of career for you?
You offer me no advice, encouragement or hope. What kills me is that
you make money all the while knowing what goes on, and from my
perspective,
you don't do anything to ease people's burdens. You expect someone who
lives under a threat from you to just "pretend it isn't there".
