From the Royals' radio broadcast of the Royals-Tigers game today:
Matthews: Neifi's batting average... Let me just tell you that he's 2
for 13.
Lefebvre: That's a shock.
Matthews: You mean that he has 2 hits?
Lefebvre: Yeah.
I've heard these guys rag on Neifi before, but this is easily the
harshest comment about a professional baseball player I've ever heard
during a broadcast. And frankly I enjoyed it.
Clearly there's one less "Neifi chicken" in Kansas City than there is in
San Francisco; in sum there's nothing to indicate that anyone remembers
him fondly.
