Back in the 60s, when Dobie Gillis was on TV, he and Maynard were always
trying to get to the movies for a midnite showing of "The Monster That
Devoured Cleveland." Around that time, a Yankees infielder showed up at
spring training about 30 lbs overweight, and his considerate teammates
began
referring to him as "The shortstop that devoured Cleveland." The guy wound
up eating himself out of a baseball career, and Andruw Jones might have
done
the same thing.
