C-3b

by Hal Henry <ccurrents@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 26, 2008 at 01:51 AM

You don't see that behind a player's name in the box score too often, but
Russell Martin pulled it off Friday nite in a move that looks like
desperation if you lose, but looks brilliant when you turn it into a win.
Since Joe Torre was a third baseman and a catcher, he probly thinks
catchers
should just be able to handle the hot corner, too.

If Nomar has an abdominal strain, LaRoache better be ready to move to L.A.
Those things hang on awhile. There was also spec that the Dodgers were
interested in Juan Castro, and this might make them pull the trigger on
that
deal.

Matt Kemp got in the game late, and made big contributions, including
legging home the winning run; Juan Pierre had 2 big rbi and was on base 4
times . . . So both of them are in the good book tonite. I'm for whoever
and
whatever scores runs and wins games, at this point.
