Hi folks. The WFBL, going strong now in our 7th season, has an opening for
a
General Manager. Here are the particulars:
Fantasy "keeper" style league, we play head-to-head matchups using 6
offensive
(HR, RBI, R, SB, AVG, OBPCTG) and 6 pitching (K's, IP, ERA, WHIP, Wins,
Saves)
categories each week. We have two divisions of 6 teams each. You play each
team
in your own division twice, and the other division once, for a 22-game
playing
schedule. We take MLB All-Star week off, and at the end of the season we
wrap
with a 3-week playoff. Top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs. We
utilize NL & AL players, and have no DH. Positions used each week are 5
SP's, 3
RP's, 3 OF's, and one each at 1b/2b/SS/3b/C, for 8 offensive and 8
pitching
starters. In other words, pitching and offense count equally in the WFBL.
We also have a minor league system, with each club having a AAA & AA team,
generally with 15 players in AAA and 10 in AA, with different eligibility
requirements at each level.
We have 15 mature, committed, fun-loving GMs who all respond promptly to
emails, and are all active in IMs/Chats for trading, drafts, etc. We treat
each
other like friendly adults, but are not above ribbing and tongue-in-cheek
"smack-talking".
We are looking to add someone that would fit in perfectly. You should be
mature, fun-loving, love the game, be committed to taking over a team for
a
long haul, available online on a regular basis, and have or be willing to
obtain a knowledge of minors/prospects/amateurs in addition to the big
leaguers.
If you fit this profile, and are interested, visit the WFBL home page at:

The opening is for the GM position with the "Omaha Mavericks" team.
If still interested, then email Commissioner Matt Veasey (me) at
mattman3rd@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
with your full name, age, hometown, and a brief
introduction
including your experience, desire, and what you think you would bring to
the
league.
