So, it's looking like it'll be the same old Pirates this coming spring,
summer, fall... Is no one excited about the upcoming season? :-)
Steroids, steroids, and more steroids. The steroids are on steroids for
Christ's sake. Clemens is backing down now that the prospect of lying
could
end him in jail. That "high & tight" **** don't work in when it comes to
tellin' the truth in a court of law. (You gotta "bat" there, Roger.) And
over-aggressiveness in a court case can often help to make you lose your
case, as they'll hang you with the very stuff you were using to "defend"
yourself with. (So say my lawyer friends anyway.) ...Anyway, wouldn't that
be a career-buster? He's already lost some GGI (good guy image) and the
public won't tolerate much more before he's officially tarnished. And we
all
know how hard it is and how long it takes to clean tarnish off of
something.
(Just ask Joe Jackson and Pete Rose.) And even then, it's never quite the
same. Why I'm sure the cor****ate image boys are all working behind closed
doors right now trying to figure out a way to save the big fat gravy
train's
ass. What a whole sorry spectacle MLB is right now. And Selig? Good god,
don't get me started on that guy... Did you see him before Congress? I'm
surprised The Daily Show hasn't been all over it. They're too busy beating
a
dead horse I guess. Oh well. Don't know if it'll all matter if the whole
market's about to crash, but anyway...
