Right Schneider isn't, but he's hot and it would be a tem****ary move
until, hopefully, Delgado heats up. I ain't holding my breath as his
atrocious hitting has spanned a length of time.
The painful truth is that unless Delgado turns things around,
Schneider may be the better hitter now. Obviously it was Mets
nation's hope that Delgado was just in a funk last year, but
everything this year starting in Spring Training points to something
more severe. A good ****tion of his ABs are painful to watch, flailing
away at pitches way out of the strike zone. Same thing for Reyes and
at times Wright and Beltran earlier in the season. I wonder how
effective Willie & HoJo are as hitting coaches.
Maybe the ex-Nats Church & Schneider can share some pointers. That's
one controversial move Omar deserves a ton of credit for so far.
