Martinez pitches simulated game without pain

Anthony DiComo, of Mets.MLB.com, re****ts New York Mets SP Pedro Martinez
(hamstring) threw 55 pitches in four innings in a simulated game
Wednesday,
May 14. Martinez was pain-free during the session. The team is hoping to
put
Martinez on a schedule of pitching every five days and hope to get him
into
a simulated game or extended spring training game in five days. If
Martinez
continues to do well in his rehab, he could return as soon as early June.

There's hope yet! If we can get a healthy Pedro back sometime soon, it
would
cure alot of the ills the team has now; mostly the losing attitude.
