Why does it seem we score 10 runs one game, then can't hit a bull in
the ass with a snow shovel the next? The problem is simple. Every year
we draft mostly pitchers, and no posistion players. Look at teams like
the Marlins, or Tampa Bay, they have good young hitting they develop
though their farm system. We have NOBODY in our farm system even close
to major league caliber hitting. We rely on pitching way too much. Next
year, Delgado...see ya. Anybody else that can't hit their way out of a
wet paper bag, see ya. I remember the 1986 Mets when they were down four
runs in the 8th. You still had a feeling they would score five and win.
The last few years, name how many times we were down four runs in the
8th, and people would stay in the stands for the final out. Now it's
just an exodus to the parking lot to beat the crowd. Omar, get some
****ing hitting, whether it's white, latino, asian, or whatever. I am
sick of a pitcher losing by one run on this team. Willie, learn how to
manufacture runs. Waiting for the three run homer isn't coaching, it's
praying, or begging. Maybe Willie doesn't remember when he played how
the game was played. Also, I am sick of this team being down three runs,
and every hitter comes up first pitch swinging. Even in slow pitch
softball, that is a poor decision by the batter. I bet anyone in this
newsgroup could manage this team to where they are now. The Yankees are
coming up, I just hope we don't humiliate ourselves, and have a last
place team taking the series from us.
