Getting rejected by Britney Spears. After she's put out for everyone
else, she shuts the door in YOUR face.
I mean, that was just pathetic.
Four hits in almost seven innings against a guy who has given up more
hits than innings pitched in his career? A guy who had an ERA over
6.00 last year?
Weak.
I don't blame Blanton for pitching well enough to win, although as is
often the case with A's starters, they get left in just long enough to
lose the game. The bullpen was fine.
The offense deserves the blame here, for there is no excuse for not
lighting up Clifton Phifer Lee. He's the Indians' equivalent of Lenny
DiNardo: one good season (2005) in an otherwise forgettable career.
Bad loss.
A's Record: 3-4
A's Should-Be Record: 5-2
