I can't say I expected Dana Eveland to win 'em all.
He did show he is human today, giving up a three-run HR to Carlos
Quentin. But on a day when the A's could only muster one run
themselves -- that in the ninth inning when they were trailing 4-0 --
I don't think it mattered much.
The A's outhit the White Sox, but they made two errors and couldn't
crack Danks. They got baserunners, but nothing connected today for
Oakland.
Eveland walked three while only striking out two, so that wasn't great
-- but overall, you cannot complain about his 2.00 ERA on the season
after three starts. He's done his job, for the most part; he's done it
well.
Mike Sweeney had a couple of hits for the A's, but six singles usually
isn't going to do it for you.
A's Record: 9-6
A's Should-Be Record: 10-5
