Game 25: Ho-hum

It's becoming clearer and clearer this team can't hit. Oh sure, they
can get hot and score a lot of runs here and there. And their extra-
base power (43 doubles, 21st in MLB; 8 triples, 2nd in MLB) and walks
(.338 OBP, 12th) will help if applied in conjunction.

But you're not going to win in this offensive era with a team batting
average of .251 (23rd). With an OPS of .701 (24th), the A's are
struggling. Sure, more HRs would help, too (12, t-28th/last), but even
more singles would help. Heck, Neifi Perez has hit .267 in his career.
Can the A's really not hit even that well?

Erik Bedard pitched like he should, so I don't see any issues there,
in truth. Justin Duchscherer pitched fine, giving his team a chance --
no issues there. Overall, this was just a game where the A's were shut
down by a pretty good pitcher.

A's Record: 15-10
A's Should-Be Record: 16-9
