This is the kind of game I love to see: the A's making the most of
their op****tunities.
I was actually in Seattle last night for this game, and King Felix was
dealing. Kentucky Joe was doing his job, too, keeping the A's in the
game. And when the King's crown wobbled a bit, the Athletics slipped
through the crack.
With the bases loaded in the eighth inning and no outs, the A's scored
four runs: Emil Brown delivered, as did Jack Cust and Ryan Sweeney.
Oakland put four runs on the board, the manager finally gave Blanton
a chance to win a game, and the bullpen did its job.
Great win ...
A's Record: 16-10
A's Should-Be Record: 17-9
