Too Many Players

by "Shooty Canseco" <shootycanseco@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 6, 2008 at 12:11 PM

The A's have too many players that deserve major league roster spots. Come

Sunday, we'll have too many starters: Blanton, Duchscherer, Gaudin,
Eveland,
Smith, and Harden. We already have too many hitters: the Mike
Sweeney/Frank
Thomas/Jack Cust logjam is a mess.

I think we'll trade 2 players away very soon for one in return. One
pitcher
and one hitter. The trade bait is probably Blanton, Duchscherer, Gaudin,
Sweeney, and Cust. I bet two of them will be on other teams by the end of

the month when Chavez, Buck, Foulke, and Harden are back in action.

Smart GMs working with a budget and looking to get to the postseason don't

keep quality MLB talent in the minors. They also don't wait until July
when
there are games to be won in May and June. I think Beane will make a
trade
soon.
