The Rose Award goes to Hideki Matsui of the New York Yankees, who went
one-for-four with four RBI and scored one run in a 4-1 win over the
Oakland Athletics.
Matsui hit a grand slam on his 34th birthday to help Andy Pettitte
move into a tie for fourth place on the New York Yankees career wins
list.
