woooooo Nelly, let's back up here a second and review shall we?
We all pretty much agree, I think, that the previous group running the
organization was a complete bunch of jackasses who knew nothing about
the game or how to develop prospects... being fired by incompetents
who've since been been canned themselves doesn't really strike me as a
mark against Russell.
I don't know the specifics of the situation, and I don't know much
about Russell's approach, but consider that it's entirely possible
that Russell was fired because he wouldn't or couldn't go along with
the last leader****p group's failed program. If that's the case then
he might not be a bad choice.
I'm not saying he's a good choice, with no major league managing
experience it's hard to say one way or another, but aren't we jumping
the gun a bit here?
So far I've like about 85% of what I've heard from Huntington so I'm
going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what they all do,
including Russell.
I'm just grateful it's not Trent Jewitt... that would have been a
disaster.
