A favorite memory of a very-young Hoover from Lane Field...

It was a wooden ballpark, and the seats were rock hard.
Most fans would rent a small cushion at a concession 
stand on the way in,  for reasons of  seating comfort.

At  game's end  the  PA  announcer would always ask,
"Please do not throw your seat cushion on the Field."

Inevitably, this produced a HAIL of cushions thrown onto 
the field.    The guy never seemed to figure this out.

A fine Lane Field tradition !
