The conversation turned to former Padre ballparks this week, and
Komet 17 said the first game he ever saw was at Westgate Park
in 1967 between the Padres and the TULSA Drillers!
When the American Association folded after the 1962 season,
several of their teams joined the Pacific Coast League, and
that included Oklahoma City, Indianapolis and Arkansas. I
guess Tulsa must have come along later.
