I've thought long and hard about how to respond to this.  Truly I
would like to be able to participate in this group.  First I'll
respond directly to what Hoover said then I would like to quote
directly some of the conversations that have gone on in this group
about this issue.

We've discussed the Florida/Virginia thing.  You didn't acknowledge
the explanation then, doubt you will this time either.  Born and lived
in Florida for some 36 years, moved to Virginia and have lived there
for 2 years.  That is how someone is both from Florida and lives in
Virginia.

I've provided tons of personal links to show I am both one of the
world's biggest Maddux fans (and pretty big Marcus Giles fan).  You
acknowledged none of this as evidence.  Would a picture of my Maddux
baseball cards, jerseys, and 3 action figures help any?

I did not suggest Maddux/Giles were juicers.  I reported that others
were suggesting it then I asked a question about an arm therapy that
was reported that I had not heard about.  Misunderstandings and
insults followed.  Apologies did not.

If I were a troll you would guess you could find other evidence of it
from my other ng or internet postings.  Give it a try.  Apparently I
like to troll the team group of the player I have been pretending is
my favorite player for a decade and a half.  Pretty involved joke on
my part.

SeaPig:  He came here because he wanted to know what, if any, arm
therapy Maddux is using.  He has given us absolutely no reason to
attribute any other motive to him.  He has gone so far as to give us
reasons why it would be silly to attirbute any other motive to him.
People who know him better than we do have backed him up.  Yet, you
insist on continuing to rail against some imaginary troll.

K2 (new thread):  Honestly, Hoov... and I do love ya, ya big lug... I
really think you're barking up the wrong tree here. I think it's
pretty clear that Winn isn't a troll... he just suffered his own bout
of imprecise use of language and his message left itself open to
interpretation and misinterpretation.  If you have a disagreement with
someone, that's fine. Address the points of disagreement. Having this
kind of single-minded vendetta against someone, particularly when it's
not well founded, is not constructive. ... and if you're going to try
to use one's own words to hang themselves, at least be sure you've got
the facts straight, M'kay?

K2 (new thread):  My take is that he hit a very raw nerve with you and
you're simply not willing to cut him any slack. His post in this
thread struck me as a humorous attempt to try and start over on civil
terms. I guess you didn't see it that way.

Hoover:  No doubt you have noticed that I routinely welcome and
encourage new posters who have something positive to contribute.
This one does not.

K2:  I do know that, which is why I'm baffled by your dig-in-the-heels
position in this case.  The guy got off to a shitty first
impression... we've all stuck our foot in our mouth a few times. Why
not give a second chance. If he's really a troll, it won't take long
to establish that.

Winn (new thread):  Thanks for the geography lesson.  As K2 points out
there is adifference between "from" and "live in".  I've lived in
Virginia for about 1.5 years.  I lived the rest of my life (including
the very first moments) in Florida, with the exception of college in
Atlanta and the occaisonal vacation.

Winn (new thread):  Barb, I hope that you will forgive me for saying
unkind things about you.

Barb:  Thank you Winn for your gracious apology.

SeaPig (new thread):  Speaking of "not a single word of substance or
proof" - the guy provided plenty of evidence that he's a longtime fan
of both Maddux and M. Giles, what proof do you have of his secret
agenda to turn this group against itself?
