I could not resist the irony of Hoover wanting to know where all of
the Padres chatters were.  He actively runs them off.  I'm willing to
admit that (lack of restraint) as a character flaw of mine.  Secondly
I was making a joke in an effort to get back into this group.  Perhaps
it would have been wiser to discuss something more on topic like what
lead to Maddux giving up 3 bombs last night, but they might assume I
was happy about it.  Or what was wrong with Hoffman last night.  But
at the time I had nothing to discuss.  It's become a bit of a goal of
mine to get Hoover to accept some level of culpability in this
matter.  I give up though; there is no reasoning with him.  I
apologize to all of those that this got played out in front of.  It
happened publicly and I felt it ought to be settled publicly but
obviously there is no hope of that.  I will make an effort to stay on
topic.  It is my hope that we can be cordial, but who knows.
