I know it royally sucks to be falsely accused of something, especially
when 
it results from a misunderstanding. I think everyone here knows you're not
a 
troll, except maybe Hoover. Perhaps the argument between you and Hoover 
became too personal for a decent chance of any degree of conciliation. Of 
course, I'm not the right one to give advice about resolving differences
in 
Usenet (as you know), so I will refrain from doing so here.

I'll simply say that I know you've been a valuable contributor to most of 
the baseball discussions I've been involved in, even when we didn't see
eye 
to eye. I know you're definitely not a troll. From my limited experience
in 
asbsd-p, Hoover seems to be a valuable contributor as well. If he's 
convinced that you're a troll, perhaps only time and experience will
change 
his mind, if you care to do so. Poking him with a stick won't improve the 
situation, as I know you realize, and it probably only exacerbate the
issue.
