Trevor isn't what he used to be. Trevor is getting older. Trevor has
lost speed on his fastball.
All of these claims are true, but what does it actually mean?
It means that instead of being the best closer in the game, he's
_merely_ one of the best.
In a couple years he will drop down from one of the best, to just an
average closer.
Padres fans have had it so good for so long that they have forgotten
what its like to not have a good
closer.
This whole discussion is such a waste of time.
In a month Trevor will have 14 saves in 16 or 17 op****tunities and we
will all forget about the "controversy".
Personally I'm much more concerned about who will play in the
outfield, and who will get promoted from ****tland
to land in the bullpen and #5 starter.
