with four runs, four RBI, and a three-run home run. First baseman Wally
Joyner has three hits (single, double, triple), as does shortstop Craig
Shipley (double and two singles). Every Padre starter except third
baseman
Archi Cianfrocco has a hit.
Starter Sean Bergman gives up five runs and ten hits in four innings
pitched, and Bryce Florie (1-0) picks up the win by pitching three
hitless,
shutout innings of middle relief.
Colorado is lead by first baseman Andres Galarrago (two for five, one run,
three RBI). Starter Marvin Freeman (1-2) takes the loss, giving up nine
hits, eight runs, and five walks in four innings. Five Rockies relievers
pitch one inning each to mop up the game.
