You mean 476 runs over the course of the year isn't going to win the
west?
And it's not just the Petco Park thing either. We've been outscored at
home by 5 runs and by 14 runs on the road.
Our biggest run production games thus far have been 8, 7, and 6. It's
just pathetic.
If we give up more than 3 runs, we probably lose. 1/2 our losses
already came when we gave up 3 runs or less!!!
Not trying to be like Iceberg folks, I actually am a huge fan and was
even at the first game back in 1969 when I was 8... but stop denying
that this is just a tem****ary slump and not a fundamental problem with
our team and its direction. This same scenario has existed for years,
only now it looks like we're going to be toast by June or even earlier
since Arizona is playing such great ball. Sure, pitching wins games,
but you have to have some punch behind it.
Another month of this and I'll be salivating over football season a
few months before I wanted to.
