Right fielder Ollie (Downtown) Brown leads San Diego past Atlanta, 8-4,
going three for four with two runs, four RBI, and a three-run homer in the
bottom of the sixth inning. Second baseman Roberto Pena has two hits
(including a double) and two runs, third baseman Ed Spiezio has two
singles,
one run, and an RBI, and first baseman Nte Colbert has a triple.
Starter Dick Kelley (5-1/3 innings) and reliever Dick Selma ((3-2/3
innings)
(2-2) allow Atlanta twelve hits and six walks, but the Braves leave
thirteen
men on base.
Atlanta's hitting star is second baseman Felix Millan, going three for
five
with one run, three RBI, and a triple. Center fielder Felipe Alou also
has
three hits, and shortstop Sonny Jackson has two. Starter Pat Jarvis lasts
5-1/3 innings, but it is reliever Claude Raymond (0-1) who is hung with
the
loss, facing four batters, recording no outs, and giving up a home run and
two walks.
