Well, as the only MLB team that plays right next to the Mexican border,
the 
Padres marketing people spent way too many years ignoring that untapped
and 
potentially lucrative market, all the way up until the beginning of the 
Moores ownership. I don't think Mexico Opening Night is intended to have
any 
particular impact in terms of ticket sales, it's more of a way of just 
letting our neighbors know that this is their team too and our casa is
their 
casa.
