Today in Padre History
April 25, 1975

Padres 5, Braves 3

After Willie McCovey and Dave Winfield strike out to start the bottom of
the 
4th inning, San Diego has 5 consecutive hits to score 3 runs and top 
Atlanta, 5-3.  The hits are by first baseman Mike Ivie (single), second 
baseman Tito Fuentes (single), catcher Fred Kendall (double), pitcher
Sonny 
Siebert (double), and shortstop Enzo Hernandez (single).  Kendall is the 
team's batting leader with 3 RBI.

Starting pitcher Siebert (2-0) picks up the win with 7 innings pitched, 
allowing 10 hits and 2 earned runs.  Bill Greif gets his 3rd save of the 
season by pitching 2 scoreless innings in relief.

Atlanta is led by third baseman Darrell Evans (3 hits) and shortstop
Larvell 
Blanks (2 hits, 1 run, 1 RBI).  Starter Buzz Capra (2-2) takes the loss, 
lasting 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs.

At: San Diego Stadium
Attendance: 11,033
