News just broke, Jim Edmonds has been released. Does this mean we eat
about 6 million of his contract? That makes acquiring him look stupid.
That's 6 million wasted. Maybe if it was spent on player development,
we'd be better off. Oh, and the guy we traded to get Edmonds? David
Freese? The Cardinals have promoted him to AA.
