Sure, Aumont isn't a "real" Frenchman, rather he is one of those strange
pretend frenchmen from Canada, but I'm wary just the same. Will he betray
the team when it matters most? Will he (metaphorically) stab the team in
the
back when they least expect it? Will he go on strike if the umpire makes a
bad call? Will he shower after the game or will he rudely subject his
teammates to his prickly Gallic stinkiness? Will he demand
dispro****tionate
respect based on how well he played in the VERY distant past? Will he
demand
that all American baseball jargon be converted into 18th century
Canadian-French so as not to pervert his "superior" French language? Does
he
believe that he should act as a "counter-balance" to the Mariner's
position
in the baseball league? If he loses, over and over, to better American
teams, will he accuse the other teams of using performance enhancing
drugs?
Most im****tantly, will he surrender rather than fight for the win?
Those are im****tant questions which need to be answered. Remember, we
might
think that he is a friend and ally while, in fact, he is conspiring
against
our beloved Mariners.
As my Grandfather likes to say, "Never trust a frenchman."
