I take it you have managed to live here for thirty years and never
travel into the Haight, Mission, Bayview, SOMA, GG Park, Hunters
Point, Sixth Street south of Market, the Western Addition, etc.
SF has always had homeless. It got really bad after the summer of
love, when every disaffected teen west of the Mississippi came here to
find Hippie Heaven, only to find reality.
Are you seriously stating that our homeless problems only started in
1992?
