The Rose Award goes to Michael Young of the Texas Rangers, who went
three-for-four with seven RBI and scored two runs in a 11-9 win over
the Oakland Athletics.
Young hit a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning, in a game that
featured a bench-clearing brawl. Athletics' outfielder Nick Swisher,
who hit a home run in each of the first three games of the series,
rushed the mound and tackled Texas starter Vicente Padilla after
getting hit by a pitch in the first inning.
