Scoring question

by Tony Lima <tonylima2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 1, 2008 at 01:59 AM

In today's Stanford - Long Beach game Austin Yount came in
as a pinch-hitter DH. (Mark Marquess has started filling in
a pitcher's name as DH, then pinch-hitting for him in the
first at bat.) In the fourth inning Yount took over as
pitcher. I understand that Stanford loses their DH
(tem****arily, as it happens -- Yount was pulled, sat on the
bench for a while, then re-entered the game at DH). But
while he was pitching the scoreboard listed his position as
EF. Anyone know what EF stands for? Thanks. - Tony
