Bozone Fantasy Baseball - Keeper League - 2008 Inaugural Season
League rules may differ based on limitations of CBSS****ts site.
COST OF BUYING A TEAM
A) Start up fee will be $10.00/team for stats (if stats cost less the
extra money will be paid out to winners).
B) Cost to draft will be 25% of your actual teams salary (salary cap
is $260 x 25% = $65 max cost to draft a team with a minimum cost of 26
players at $1/each = $26 x 25% = $6.50).
C) Transaction Costs:
After the draft all transactions throughout the season will cost $1 or
25% of the actual winning value bid for the player (Whichever cost is
greater) This is the cost to pick up free agents.
$10 stats fee due prior to draft (TBD).
Team Salary (25% of actual team salary) due May 1st.
Transaction fees due October 15th.
TEAM NAMES:
Must include a location and a name (Minnesota Twins, Arizona
Diamondbacks, etc.).
SCORING CATEGORIES
BATTING: BA, SB, HR, RBI, and R
PITCHING: ERA, WH/IP, W, S, and K
DRAFT
You have $260 to spend on your team for the auction draft with a
minimum bid of $1.00. You must draft 26 players and stay under
$260.00. Auction draft will be held online (CBS S****tsline).
UNDRAFTED PLAYERS
Undrafted players will stay on the waiver wire at $0 until someone
picks them up with a minimum $1 bid. Players that get called up to
the majors mid-season also start at $0 until bid upon.
ROSTER
Your roster consists of 26 players including 4 bench players; at least
13 offense and 9 pitchers (2 IR allowed).
STARTING ROSTER
you must start: 1; 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, DH, 2 C, 4 OF's, and 9
P's. If you don't set your starters it will be a push from the
previous week, regardless of injury.
BIDDING
You're allowed unlimited transactions/season - no packaged deals (each
player is an individual bid). All bids must be done prior to the
silent auction on Sunday. A minimum of a $1.00 starting bid. The
transaction fee will be equal to 25% of the winning bid. If two
owners tie on a bid then the lower ranked team receives the tiebreaker
on the free agent. Unlimited contingent bids are allowed.
Contingency Bid: All owners will need to make their back-up bids when
placing their first bid in.
DISABLED LIST
If a player becomes injured you can place him on IR. There are 2 DL/
Reserve spots per team for players that are on the MLB DL or sent down
to the minors during the season. DL moves are free. You must
activate a player from the DL when that player comes off the MLB DL.
TRADING
You can trade as many players as you want but you must stay under the
$260.00 cap and within your roster limits. No Trades After September
10.
KEEPER
Eight player keeper maximum with a $5 raise on salary the next year
(will vote to keep more players in future years). Players listed as
"Keepers" need to be designated prior to March 1st. At the end of the
year, all free agents have their salaries reset, as well as players
that go unprotected going into the new draft. You are not REQUIRED to
keep 8 players. You will have to pay the salary of these players
again the next season as noted above.
MONEY
