I know this board's pretty much dead, but just in case anyone's still
checking it, I could use some advice.
I'm in a 10 team keeper league and am stumped who I should keep for my
10th person. It's a 6x6 league, adding OPS and Holds. So far, I have:
David Ortiz
Michael Young
Hideki Matsui
Vladimir Guerrero
Bobby Abreu
Erik Bedard
Josh Beckett
Rich Hill
Francisco Rodriguez
After these obvious choices, my best options for my 10th keeper are:
Kelvim Escobar (out till May at least)
Trevor Hoffman (old and declining effectiveness)
Todd Jones (see above)
Scott Linebrink (for holds, and his strikeout numbers aren't bad)
Jermaine Dye
Luis Castillo
Ryan Freel
Any thoughts anyone has would be appreciated. Right now I'm leaning
towards Escobar even though I won't have him until May at least because
he has the most upside. Dye is also tempting, but his decline was so
dramatic last year I'm worried his career is on a permanent decline.
