The Rose Award for 5-2-2008 goes to former track star Tim Montgomery
is scheduled to appear in federal court Monday for a bond hearing on
heroin distribution charges. The 33-year-old sprinter was arrested on
a sealed indictment accusing him of dealing more than 100 grams of
heroin in Virginia over the past year.
The Rose Committee salutes Tim Montgomery. His actions truly pay
tribute to the heart, soul, and morals of the namesake of the Rose
Award. Congratulations to Tim Montgomery, truly worthy of today's
Rose Award.
